The strong market that we have enjoyed in 2016 continued in the month of July despite the cold weather. The team also enjoyed our annual retreat this month with this year’s retreat conducted at the MCG. We had a vast variety of speakers with a focus on personal development. The winner of our salesperson of the year was Kevin with a fantastic year of activity and results. Elizabeth and Suzanne were the winners of the property management award for the year and received their trophy and prize on the day also.
The sales department are experiencing a very tight market place at the moment. This is a combination of the long lead into the election, the traditionally slower winter months, and the school holidays recently. This has combined to provide a real shortage of stock in the marketplace. This is great news for those that are selling though with some great results being achieved with plenty of competition and great numbers at open homes. The stand out for the month was the result achieved at 22 Mills Street Edithvale with the property selling $80,000 over the reserve price. A new initiative for this campaign was a dedicated Facebook campaign over the 5 weeks. A combination of posts and videos achieved a staggering 27,500 views of the property during the campaign. Our rental team were dealing with low stock levels at the start of the month but letting numbers were still good and our stock levels increased during the month and finished strongly. Our property management winners for the month were again Suzanne and Lizzy.
