Local Market Update January 2017

The rental department have hit the road running very early this year with some outstanding results in the month of January. The team worked through a record number of applications with over 100 received in January alone. This resulted from 70 inspections, 680 enquiries, and almost 300 tenants inspecting our properties available. With all this activity we were able to let 19 properties for the month. A great effort by all the team. We are seeing plenty of interest across all types of property but the most interest is still being generated by family homes in the area. The team also had a huge focus for the month on maintenance as a result of the unusual weather conditions we endured over the Christmas and New Year periods. The office is also going through a face lift with some renovations and we welcome all our clients the opportunity to pop in the coming weeks to see the changes.  The sales department has had limited campaigns during the month of January  but the ones running are creating lots of interest and we expect another strong year in the sales area. The team were able to sell a number of listings left over from last year with both Sam and Belinda having a strong start to the year. We are also seeing a change in lending criteria around investment lending for fixed rates and it will be interesting to see if this has a follow on effect during the year to all lending and interest rates.
